    from you guys how hard is it to do a cam swap on a lq9?
    how big can you go with stock springs?
    is it hard to change the springs?
    if i changed the springs how much cam sould i go with?
    01 pewter extendocab 4.3 bout to have 6.0.
    18'' boss motorsports dubs
    2/4 drop, toneau cover
    alpine cd player, directed tweeters, 1200watt ma audio amp,
    3 jl audio 12's in custom ported box its all show.

    wife has a 99 honda accord with a open filter makes a weird noise sounds like doof.doof.doooof. lol

    it isnt the most difficult task to take on...if you know some things about motors. the first thing is that you have to be confident in remembering where everything goes.
    You must change your springs when going with a different cam. You would be very dissappointed if you dont. you wouldnt be able to make any kind of power whatsoever with stock springs. they just arent strong enough. Even if you could find a cam that was small enough to reuse your stock springs, it wouldnt be worth the time to break into the motor to put it in.

    What are your goals with the truck? is it a daily driver, do you just want it for the track, etc..
    No boost, no juice, no fun!!

    its a daily driver but maybe a weekend dragger im lookin for a range of 13.50- 12.50 in 1/4 on the bottle of course. is that even capable with a gear,tranny goodies,cam,nos,and simple bolt ons

    The cam is very easy, me and my father in law just did his over the weekend.

    There are tons of cams out there, so pic one that will meet your needs now, not your future plans, buy your mods and install them before you get the cam, ie nos, charger, etc.
    With NOS, you'll get in the 13's along with a cam, an 04 went 13.8 i belive with nos. So you should be there no problem.
