    Wiring harness Question

Reworking my harness and have a couple questions. The engine is an 02 lq4. Its going in an 86 chevy truck backed by a th400 non lock up transmission. I'm using a 99 wiring harness from a 4.8. Is there any reason why I can't remove all the wires from the harness that have anything to do with the electronic controlled tranny? Does TCC=Torque Converter Control? Do I have to run a vss?

I would ask The guy that did/is doing the ECU, I know they can delete alot of the extra BS stuff in the computer for a swap like you are doing

the vss is used to control the timing tables. if not youre more then likely be stuck in the idle timing table
