    Direction Im heading..Advice needed

Well I figured since Ive been researching and investing in new parts and what not Id figured I would ask a few questions. I am going the Spray/ N/A AWD route and have a good hookup on a head miller/porter in town who does a great job.

    What I have:
    -5.3 with 216/220 .525 .532 114 Comp Cam part # LS1 XR269HR-14
    -7.4 Comp Pushrods
    -Beehive Springs good for .600
(All the above installed 8000 miles ago into a 07 5.3 with 55k miles; used to have a 4.8 in my 06')
-All bolt ons and what not

Parts need to install & laying around:
    -1.75 Scorpion LS1 Rockers
-Bare 853 Heads, Going to Port, Mill, and do a 3 angle valve job on them
(Where is the best place to get good valves and seals for these?)
    -MT E/T slicks on 15"s
    -PLX wideband

    Want to get:
-LS2 TBSS Intake Manifold and 90mm TB with Dr. X Harness + injectors (Should I get 42lbs? for boost later?) or what size?
    -LPP LT's and ORY
-ZEX or Nitrous Outlet Dry Kit probably a 75 shot on street and 125 strip rarely of course (On a budget and want to keep simple)
    -ARP Head and Rod Bolts
-CTS-V Lifters (They are said to be quieter and stronger)
    -Ported LS6 Oil Pump
    -LS2 Timing Chain
    -Nitrous Pressure Gauge
(Where can I find a digital one of these and not one with needles?)

Basically now that I have a daily driver, (Got my old v6 01 camaro back ) Im going to go into hardcore mode with the truck, but leave it N/A when this project is finished and be done with it till after college when I can get more into it with boost and what not. Does everything above look good enough to get me to around 380-400 ish rwhp on my 5.3 and be safe and secure? Anything else not on the list needed? The truck has been daily driven but in a month or two that is going to change to just weekends or barely ever since I want to keep the miles off of it.

I am going the AWD route and want it to be a street/Strip truck, the truck is a 2wd right now, but the AWD conversion is in the works.

As for the bare 853s I have, Im sure my porting/milling guy will know what to do but do I just need to mill them .30 and do a light porting job? Or should I get them spec'd professionally and give the specs to the guy?

Any advice yall could give would be great! I am still in the learning process! :p

Ok, wait...you went from a lift with 37" tires to a lowered 2wd setup...and now AWD? Geeze, someone needs a good prescription for some Schizophrenia medicine...

Ok, wellllll...where to start. As for the heads, you can only get so much out of 853s. If you want me valves, go with some stainless steel 2.02" intake and 1.575" exhaust valves. Have your porting/milling guy do a Stage 2/220 cc job on them. Have it port matched. See if you can get above 300 cfm at .600 lift...

42 lb injectors should be installed when you do the 90mm TB/LS2 intake swap.

I would also shoot for a larger cam.

35" Swampers NOOB, and thats what the 83 blazer is for This is the street queen. That lifted setup was just more crap waiting to break and you cant go as fast

I was thinking about going with a larger cam and while Im down there doing a timing chain swap. What size cam would you think would be best? I do have a ton of weight and dont want to go too extreme with the cam. Would a 220/224 with around .581 lift and some dual springs good for .660 be a good choice?

Since you are gunna be running a 5.3L in a CCSB, what stall you plan on going with?

Well, the 853s and 706s are very close in flow. The 853s have a larger combustion chamber size (67cc vs 61cc). Throwing on the 853s will lower your CR.

If it were me, I would stick with the 706s. But I would definitely check the casting number to see if the 706s are the dreaded Castech heads.

I have a TB stall in right now but was planning on getting a 2800-3000ish RPM Stall.
The 706s and the motor they are on are from an 07 classic, how would I know if they are castech?
If I lowered the compression though with the 853's wouldnt that be essential for boost later? I thought the 853s bump it to 10 to 1 on a 5.3?

Well, if you are going to run a 3000-ish stall, I would not go any bigger than a mid 220's duration/high .570's lift on a 114 LSA....which makes me think a TSP 224R cam might be good for ya.

If the heads are off an 07 Classic truck, no need to worry then.

Yes, a lower CR is better for FI. You said you MIGHT wanna go FI, and I overlooked that in my earlier post. Like I said--the 853s flow about the same as the 706s but it will reduce your CR.

    853 cc size = 66.67
    706 cc size = 61.15

But just remember you need the perimeter bolt valve covers and coil pack mounting brackets to go with those heads...
