    opinion on this truck please.....

so i found a good platform to work on and has many things i wanted to do to a truck once i got it. but the truck has 119k on it and i'm not sure if thats too high a mileage. do yall have any opinions. i don't know how much i can purchase it for because the deal was just done today therefore it is not on our systems yet. ill know that info tomorrow. i could pay it off within in a year though is what i'm thinkin. what do yall think of the truck. i know its dirty but our detail dept works wonders on that subject and yes i would definently remove the graphic!!! and the moldings. constructive critism please.

thats what i was thinking. my friend says the truck is "down grading, wheels are homo, bla bla" just killing it for me. it needs a little love but i think i could turn it around. im just concerned with mileage that high.... but then again mine has 82,000 on it now and runs like the day i bought it

Dude you cant ask us our opinions without giving us a price. But these LS motors seem to be relatively indestructive, so if the mileage is too high, then rebuild to your own personal specs or do a swap. Both are relatively cheap, respective to a new truck. But without a price then this topic is useless. Im from DC and considering it's probably a close rep of the '03 I used to own , and with the current mileage, I'd guesstimate that it's worth 5k-7k. If he's askin more then talk him down. I do, and I always win. I got almost 9k knocked off of my '03 when I bought brand new, so don't think it's bs

What year? 06? 119k miles is not too much. I rode in Dale's truck after his had about 275k HARD miles and it was just fine.

Are you sure about it being a 5.3L? Unless the previous owner put the VHO wheels on later, it might be a VHO/Vortec Max truck. Look under the frame for the torsion bar suspension, and check the glove box for the option code B4V--and also check the VIN, of course.

Before you buy it--have the detail dept do their thing. Sometimes people trade in vehicles dirty on purpose--to hide flaws. Once it has been gone through, then look it over and drive it. Also, a Carfax is recommended.

roll pan needs to be smoothed, i think wheels would look cool powder coated black... is ext cab with 5.3 and big wheels really gonna be much better mileage?

i went from 27 at best before lift...to 14 best now...so im sure every little bit helps. i normally get like 9mpg which SUCKS...but im not sure i'd go back to stock height (tho i wouldnt miss all these rock chips from big tires)
