Ok I am ready to put a cam in my truck but i dont have any idea what would be a good one for my truck. It is an 2003 ecsb 2wd that is 5000lbs. I have a FIPK kit and a set of shorty headers. I aslo have a superchip programer that is crap(power?). I plan on getting a nelson tune with the cam so it should be a good increase with the both of them at the same time. The truck is my daily driver but i dont mind a big cam as long as i dont lose all of my low end. I am thinking of a 3000 TC but not for awhile. Another thing is a cam that works good for a NA motor also work good for spray? If anyone could help me out that would be great.

    Thanks Anthony

the main thing is you need to figure out what direction you are going to go in. i have the 216-220-525-532-114 and spraying it and i love it. i have thought about going bigger but have decided not to. you might like the 212-218 high lift cam.

Allen recomended an LS6 cam for my '00 Sierra 5.3 with a whipple charger. I was looking for something very streetable that would pull hard. I'm planning to see Allen this comming week for the install. I'll post my opinion when it's finished.

I have the TR224 and love it! It seems to be a great NA cam and several guys are having success with it. You will definately need a stall with it though, because the power band is said at being from 1600 to 6600. This cam pulls like a man through the gears and it's gotten me some nice numbers. I think that 01Thunder seems to like it as well.

I just found this information at another site. It's a really good spread sheet with tons of cam information.

That is a great site. Thanks. OK here is a question. Thunder Racing has a 220/220 .551/.551 112 and a 114. What would be the difference performance, drivability?
