    How many miles?

Figure the pinion bearing on my Blazer has made roughly 1,088,000 "miles" of revolution. How 'bout yours?

Gear ratio multiplied by odometer. Remember to factor gear ratio changes if applicable. No, it's no accurate as burn outs and running one in the air change the factor...as does locker vs. non-locker, etc. Also remember that if you have run non-stock tires without speedo correction your odometer is off too....just factor the % difference in tire size or gear ratio and apply that % +/- to the odometer for the time it was incorrect. Mine is easy since it's stock ratio with the 3rd set of OEM copy tire.

    Still a fun game/guess.

Reason I say that is that I noticed the 08+ have an extra "vent" in the bumper just below the grille...not sure what that is about...

yeah I think that those vented bumpers are carryovers from the HD trucks, and Chevy decided to streamline their bumper option and make one type for 1500's and HD's. Thats my theory on it anyways....but I wouldnt mind getting one just for the extra airflow
