Beefing the tranny for a lil nitrous..

just like the title says, i hear alot of ppl saying our motors love nitrous but its the stock 4l60e that goes out.

my question is what all should be done to a tranny "TO HAVE A LITTLE MORE INSURANCE" of nothing tearing up.. i kno some guys have spray 150 on complete stock trannys with no issues, i know its a gamble..

I just picked up a wet shot kit last night, and before installin it, i want to kno that my setup is okay. im thinking maybe a 75-100 shot, nothing bigger.. an this is not my d.d. by the way, an i maybe run it 2 or 3 times a month. im already tuned, with servos installed also..

Get A Transgo Hd2 Shift Kit And A Good Stall Converter. A Good Stall Is About $600+ And The Shift Kit Is Around $100 If I Remember Right...

yea ive planed on the stall and a shift kit, just didnt kno if there was anything eles i really needed to do..

have you tune checked...even on a little 100 shot you will prob see a little knock...you will prob be good to pull 2° unless your tuner is a safe person.

you dont need a stall with nitrous...just do a shift kit and dont spray through the shifts and you'll be fine

lol thats what they did on foxbody mustangs...just put the wet shot on and tell him to pull 2° away from the timing table where it sees WOT...you have a returnless style fuel setup so the "vac" mod is useless for you...what the vac mod does is sees when you are spraying and puts pressure on the FPR and loads up the injectors...works really well on like i say older mustangs that run a dry shot...but with all the new style pcm's and stuff he can easily set up the tune for the wet shot...all he needs to do is pull the timing and you can adjust the AFR through the fuel jets
