    2002 GMC Sierra 1500

I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 4.8L, 4L60E, 3.23 Rear Axle K&N Air Intake and a 1-2 Magna flow. Truck is starting to feel slower and I was Thanking of getting my hands dirty. I would like to have about 400HP or more but keep it a daily driver (about 60 a day 7 days a week). Any Suggestions would be appreciated

Welcome aboard. You are in the right place, be prepared to spend a couple of bucks. Well worth it though.

2500-3000$ will get you around where you wanna be, spend about 4 grand and have a really good driver set up.

You have an extended cab with the smallest V8 and high gears. You'll need a motor swap (or full bolt-ons and N20), trans mods, higher stall converter, lower gears, locker, and all that goes with it to get usable 400 at the wheels.

if you wanna be quicker, new gears are a must. a set of 4.10s with a locker or LSD will be a good choice
00 FRC - just top end, exhaust, and a hot-air intake
    99 Sierra - 5.3 / 5spd

Gears, tune/cam, shift kit/stall/corvette servos, ditch manual fans for electrics, UD pulley, etc, etc
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
