    hello -

    need some info . are the rear leafspring hangers & shackels on a 2004 2wd ext cab silverado the same as on a 2004 4wd ext cab silverado ?? i want to lower my 4wd silverado . and all i see for sale is hangers & shackels for 2wd silverado's

    I'm not sure, but it seems reasonable. You should call the support line at bell tech, they are always glad to help.
    No more trucks, but this is what I used to have. 2000 GMC Sierra, 6.0L-LQ4, Built 4L60, LS6 Cam, The Other Guys Headers, 3 inch exhaust and 7 chamber flowmaster, 43lb injectors, Nelson Tuning, Drop - 3/4 McGaughys Spindles, Bell Tech Shackles & Hangers. Best time 13.59 @ 106

    Just pull your lift blocks, you'll need 2x4 u-bolts. That's a 2" rear drop

    I had my Z71 like that for a while before I lifted it back up. If you want some 2x4 u-bolts drop me a PM and I'll set you up with them.

    That's how I dropped my C3. Pulled the 2" lift blocks out using the 2WD u-bolts. Won't effect your ride one bit. Don't forget to remove the extensions on the snubbers too. I also changed my rear shocks to 2WD shocks. If you want a 3" or 4" drop you can use 1" or 2" drop shackles in additon to removing the blocks, but you probably need to shim your rear axle to keep the driveshaft angle correct.
