    224r?

anybody running a tr224r in a 5.3? if so how are the driving manners and power output of the cam in the 5.3 with a ls6 or stock intake and stock internals? trying to figure out what i want to put in my truck since all i have right now is a stall and gear. oh yeah and headers will be added with cam and possibly intake then tuned.

people on PT.net foam at the mouth for that cam......everyday someone puts one in and goes crazy about it in the 5.3

go for it!!!...even though you would prolly better benefit from it with all the bolt ons first...

it's a little more stall than i wanted but got a heck of a deal on it so i went with it but still want around a 2800-3200 stall instead.

i really wanted to make sure it would pull good cause being stock it doesn't want to pull starting off or when hitting another gear at those rpms. it dies back to the stall level for a second or two instead of gaining truck speed the way it would with a smaller stall. the stock cam just quits pulling good at that rpm level. iguess i'll keep it in there untill i get the cam in and see how it does then.

and everything is tuned for the current mods? for the most part.....noone of these trucks want to make power over 6 g's. i may shift at 6600, doesn't mean the truck is still pulling hard that high
