Ok, so i called Denny's Driveshafts and I think they are the ones to go with.
I told them i had an ls1, 60e OD, 4.10 gears, 10bolt, and a +-60" shaft (heheh, shaft).
Jim there said local shops just can't balance shafts that are tuning high rpms, He mentioned that my 4.10 gears and OD just amplify the vibration, not that they are the problem, but they will make a vibration more noticable.
Also, i noticed the diameter of my shaft is small, maybe 3". Jim said i could come in with a 1000$ and he wouldn't sell me a 60" shaft with a diameter of 3". He recommended a 4 or 4.5" in steel , and he said we are probably gonna have to go with the HD Aluminum shaft becuase of the length and strength needed. The LT Aluminum shaft is just not strong enuff for ppl who go to the track.
On top of my vibation problem, there could be another problem, called critical shaft speed, 90% of shops can't balance high enuff to ensure this won't be a problem. I can't explain too much on this becuase i can't remember what he said.
Just thought i'd update you guys,
btw, joe and i replaced my brass tailshaft bushing and the vibe is still there, when will this nightmare end. I want to go to the track and race![]()
later,
