    05 sierra 2500hd 6.0 valve springs

    hey does anyone no what the max lift for oem springs in a 6.0 engine from an 05 sierra 2500hd are.also when you guys are doing your cam swaps are you doing preventive maintanence on ur motors like new oil pumps and water pumps??

    i would change them after 500 and some guys upgrade oilpumps dono of anyone upgrading waterpumps after a cam swap tho its all personal preference

    Not a lot more than .500" on the stock LQ4 springs. I would only replace a water pump if it were leaking but would not reuse the gaskets. On a mild to mid-level build where the engine remains in the truck I would not replace the oil pump either unless there were enough miles on the motor to warrant a timing chain and gears (pump has to come off anyway).
