    4l80e connectors

I have a 04 LQ9 out of an escalade with the factory wiring. I just bolted a 4l80e to it and it needs two plugs to go by the shifter but the escalade harness just has one.Can I adapt it somehow or will I have to find a different harness

Yep 4L60E only uses one speed sensor, 4L80E uses two. You will also have to either change the wiring in the round connector as detailed below or buy an adapter.

He was talking about the gear position switch....at least that's what it reads like.

To the OP....GM changed from the two connector PRNDL switch to the the single slider in like 05 or 06 I think. Not sure if anyone has an adapter harness but you should and/or could just swap the switch possibly. Not sure the 60 and 80 have different switches but the different years do.

Ahhh yes now that I re-read the post I agree. I don't have anything useful to add though.

The switches can be used on both transmissions. That is not an issue. Vince

Cool, thanks Vince. I thought that was the case but needed confirmation. Maybe that answers the OP.

wow you guys are good! I will try to find the park switch from a 04 4l6o and try it on my 4l80e, I'll let you know how it works out, also thanks for the wiring for the speed sensor. I can't wait to get this in my 56.
