i went with taillight covers. that way when i get pulled over i just take them off to make the cop happy and when i get home its just an excuse to clean the light and put them back on. i'm afraid if i sprayed the lights i would get a ticket and have to buy new lights. i did spray nightshades on my 3rd brake light though. turned out pretty good.
