well i thought that the 4.8 and 6.0 share the same block, but i have been told by other people that there different. So which is it.

Nope, that's why you see the guys going to 370 and 408 swaps always start with a 6.0 block. The 5.3L can only be bored to a 382 ci engine without serious money.

5.3/5.7/6.0 same crank and rods

4.8/5.3/5.7/6.0/6.2/7.0 are all the same size externally, all interchangable
