    possible transfercase issue?

well the yesterday the fiance, baby and i hopped in the yukon and were headed to go see my dad and when i went to pull out on the main road something didnt feel quite right. When it took off it almost felt like it either slipped or jumped straight to 3rd or 4th gear and once i started going i could floor it and it barely creeped along almost what its like if you have a clogged cat. i pulled over and it chimed and the dic said "service 4wd" and i looked and where my push buttons are the 4low was lit up! i tried to disengage but it wouldnt. i cut off the truck for a min and then restarted and it was in 2wd and i drove off and had no more problems at all. what do you guys think is going on? i was planin on changin tranny fluid and tcase fluid when i do my catback and vette servo instal along with a tranny temp gauge. think checking the fluid or changing it will help or do i need to go to a stealership or shop somewhere? thanks in advance.

Check for DTC P0327 encoder motor manlfunction. Common sensor failure inside the encoder motor housing. Also make sure the grounds are good at the body mount on the frame behind the driver's front wheel ahead of the door.
