    is a ls1 worth it?

i already have a complete 5.3 with harness, computer and all the stuff to swap it in to my 02 v6 truck. i ran across a low mile ls1 thats also complete minus the accessorys. would it be worth delaying my build and buy the ls1? i already have the cam for my 5.3 and it will have bolt-ons and nitrous.

i have a feeling that the 5.3 will be plenty fast with all the stuff on it.

You already have the 5.3 why do you let me take that LS1! That way you won't even worry about it.

    Seriuously though!

What year and mileage on your 5.3 and year mileage on the LS1?

My wifes 2004 Tahoe needs some act right, I'm thinking if it's jacked I'll just do a 6.0 swap, but if the price is right....

looks like your making plenty of power from your 5.3, so theres really no reason for the 5.7.

i would say no some might disagree, but you can get 400hp in a 5.3 with full boltons so i say just build the 5.3
