    Insurance Coverage

I want to make sure that if my truck were to get stolen or go up in flames that I would be covered through my insurance for the serious $$$$ that I've put into it. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what/how I tell my agent? Do I have to show receipts or just estimated dollar amounts?

Farmers work great for me. I have had 2 claims with them and both times, they were on the ball.

Jay--I am sure you have all of the receipts. Make sure to have those on hand. Your agent will want to know thew dollar amount of the accessories. Your agent will also want to come take pics of everything. It's a good idea for people who have thousands upon thousands of dollars in their ride...
And yes--your premium WILL go up.

I have Progressive, and they are great for me, in order for me to get it taken care of, I need to ask for Supplemental insurance, that's what the agent said last time i made a claim.

I probably should have been taking pictures of everything this whole time. I figured my premiums would go up. I bet if you tell them that you have a TB spacer on it, they would increase your rates!

The supplemental insurance was something extra you paid for or was already included in your policy?

I'll call my agent today. Thanks everyone!

I gave my agent a list of the mods and cost and he added them to my coverage. It only cost an extra $9/month for coverage on everything! Including installation, the total of my list came out right at $15k!!
