    Should I drill...

I want these wheels because they are light and I've always like them.
Plus, they are readily available and will get here in time.

Weld Racing 90-56416 - Weld Racing Draglite Wheels - summitracing.com

They do not accept 14mm studs. I was wondering if I bought these rims, could I get away with drill the holes to accept the 14mm studs on the front of my truck ('94 1/2 ton , 5 lug, 5x5)?

If so, I have no problem having the machine shop drill them.

    thanks,
    allen

correct me if im wrong, but I think all you need is 14mm mag lug nuts. I had a set of mag wheels I was going to run and I found a place that offered them.

I think you will be alright with drilling. Do they have those studs that dont allow the slicks to spin on the rims? I dont know the term for when that happens..

    Do not have them drilled!

When I worked at a rim shop, if I rember correctly the stud holes are made for shank lug nuts, and a washer.

So, it's possible I could install those type of lug nuts and it will work?

Those are shank style, right, Mic?

    Thanks guys!

    Any more input is appreciated.

I'm guessing Weld says they won't fit because of the thickness of the shank? I'm assuming a 12mm shank has a thinner wall than a 14mm shank.
So, they say it won't fit because the shank won't go in the rim hole?

Do these 14 mm lugnuts you posted have a thinner or special wall shank that will allow them to fit? Or , I might have to drill the rims, right?

If everything will fit after I drill the rims, I don't mind doing it, I'm sure the machine shop can get it to fit exactly if I supply the rims with the shank lugs.

    thanks,
    allen
