    valve stem seals

    alright guys my cam kit will be here tommorow and we are installing on sat. do i need a special tool to replace the valve seals or can it be done without it? and also what exactly are the shims for, installing patriot duel springs, thanx for any feed back
    Master power t-76 kbracing, Intercooled, 11psi, tr220 cam, patriot dual springs, 72lbrs, snow meth, walbro, efans, 80e, tansgo, yank 3200.

    If you don't have the valve stem seal installer tool, and you're careful, a deepwell socket can be used to install them. On your dual valve springs, they should have come with a shim for between the head and spring, then install the valve stem seal, then spring, retainer, and keepers.

    I use a neep socket and a little body hammer. Works great.
