Hey Dale! I mean...come on. That's a generalization like saying everyone that looks like Ricky is

It's been abused for sure. That alone cannot allow them to deny the claim (although the dealer can do what they want GM has responsibility). 3-4 goes out all the time on mid-mileage old man non-abused trucks. Tell them to make the proof in writing the exact type of abuse and its direct cause for a specific failure if they try to deny coverage. They cannot. Why? 'Cause a million other claims are filed with the same failure and no evidence or even accusation of abuse.

Bring it up here buddy....and despite Dale's advice I'll fix it under warranty (because I have no real proof of abuse) and it will work until you blow it up again...

I agree, that's a common problem with non-abused trucks! Hell I just fixed a transmission a few weeks back owned by a 70 year old man, truck had 30,000km (18,600mi) on it and the forward sprag clutch was grenaded!

Oh don't let the age fool you bet he rolls the street every night lookin for tools to smear on the street

From all I hear, and having seen a truck go through 2 and on its third, why is it so hard for a new trans to be done. Or at least fix the common issues with them breaking now. Wouldn't they save money in the long run, instead of replacing them when they break under warranty?
    - Waiting for an lq9 swap - Super 40 center in dual out - battery swap to spare tire location - exhaust turndown -
