Exclamation Whipple computer or Nelson tune?

To start I have a sierra denali 2002 with true dual, no cats, and whipple supercharger. I tried tuning it by using predator my first time it seems alright. I was on nelson performance and read to remove your whipple computer and install bigger injectors with nelson tune said it would run better. Dont know how that would work because the whipple has some wires going to it dont know what they are for. So wouldnt it be like the whipple without a brain. Can someone help I emailed nelson yesterday and still has not got back to me must be busy because i hear nothing but good stuff from them.

the brain probably controls the fuel. The right way to do it is to add larger injectors and have the computer control the fuel. So yes, you will make more power and it will probably run better also. I'm sure Nelson performance will chime in on this thread with the details.

The boost a pump raises the voltage and eventually the fuel pump will fail. We can recommend the Walbro 255 fuel pump, which are in stock. You eliminate the controller. Upgrade to 42lb injectors and the tune will be able to control your truck.
which email address did you send it to by the way?

    thanks

The whipple its pretty good of the line i have let everyone i race in the begining. My truck is awd so it does not lose traction(which i want it to do). In the top end not so good. Truck starts losing power or i dont know maybe my tune. I raced a SS with a procharger 8psi(whipple rated at 6psi and not intercooled) And he only beat me by 1/2 a car. The ss had LT headers and ram air hood and only got me by that much so good thing i went with whipple.

Also Im thinking of putting the sts turbo with the whipple dont know if this would be a good idea for the truck. I never seen this done so would be a first.

Whipple computer is garbage. Whipple itself in my opinion and experience is garbage. It slowed my truck down. No kidding. Also if you put an sts on ahead of the whipple all that will do is let the whipple heat up the incoming air from the sts . Waste of time and money in my opinion. If you could ride in someones truck that has a trick turbo kit, you'd throw the whipple in the dumpster. Good luck.

From what I know, the Whipple tuning software is crap. Like what was said--get a fuel pump that will provide enough flow, get properly sized injectors, and have a Live Tune performed. Also, throw on an intercooler with a Snow Meth 2 kit. That will help to drastically lower your IATs, which will help the boost levels...
