Ran across one of these bad boys today and wanted to see how he'd run. Well as no surprise this thing was bad @$$ and he was gone. It'll run 12's in the 1/4 and 0-60 is wicked. The cool thing was the guy wasn't a prick and was asking me about my truck at the next light.

AMG really isn't aftermarket. They are Mercedes' in-house tuner shop. They hand build the engines for all the AMG super cars and then tune the chassis around it. I believe that's the fastest regular mercedes (maybe besides the SLR) that you can get right now.. it is faster than the SL55
The trraction control on the e55 is deadly on the street. No wheel spin at all, gives just the right amount of power. My dad works for a Mercedes dealership in the valley, so I will be test driving when I go down in June.
