Ran across one of these bad boys today and wanted to see how he'd run. Well as no surprise this thing was bad @$$ and he was gone. It'll run 12's in the 1/4 and 0-60 is wicked. The cool thing was the guy wasn't a prick and was asking me about my truck at the next light.

Some of those aftermarket tuners make some fast ass cars! AMG has been doing it for awhile!

AMG really isn't aftermarket. They are Mercedes' in-house tuner shop. They hand build the engines for all the AMG super cars and then tune the chassis around it. They are absolutely incredible at what they do and with Merecedes' full backing you simply won't be able to duplicate their work with any other aftermarket manufacture's goods.

I believe that's the fastest regular mercedes (maybe besides the SLR) that you can get right now.. it is faster than the SL55

The trraction control on the e55 is deadly on the street. No wheel spin at all, gives just the right amount of power. My dad works for a Mercedes dealership in the valley, so I will be test driving when I go down in June.

yep... i've seen a 03 z06 lose to an e55 on the street. that car is no joke. can you imagine what a pulley swap and tuning would do to that car? on the street against the average joe, that e55 could be a 4-door viper killer.
