Here's your easy way out if you don't mind spending a little money and a lot less effort. LOL The SGI-5 or SGI-8 Speed/ Tach Interface You can also use something like a true pulse or an S&P reluctor ring which goes in the tranny tail housing or S&P's tailhousing.

i bought the 40 tooth reluctor ring from JTR, and the VSS sensor, but the late model transmissions must be different, once you drill the hole and thread it, you still have a .5 inch gap, and you need a .011 gap, so trying to find something else, wish i had just used a 700R4, but then would have had to changed from DBY to cable, will contact dokato digital and see if there interface will work, didnt see anywhere in there lit. regarding 40 pulse, was hoping that could just be taken care of with pcm tuning, but guess not that lucky, thank you

Look at the first paragraph and it says the SGI-5 can recalibrate 8K pulse per mile (ppm) through 250K ppm electronic speedometer pulse rates. A friend of mine has one of these on his truck.

    Good Luck!

I'm pretty sure it's the 4000 from what I remember. Tech support at Dakota will tell you the best way to go though. I'm pretty sure you can convert just about anything up to 250k so the 8000 should work also.
