I just thout I would ask this question even thou I already installed my pulleys 2 months ago. But anyways, I bought the ASP cranck an Alt. pullys an I was just wondering if the pulley for the Alt. is supposed to be Bigger that stock for more HP or is I suposed to be Smaller. I have heard that there are 2 diffrent Alt. pullys one for more HP an one for more Alt. power to power your amps an speakers. My kit came with the crank pully an the bigger Alt. pulley. Is this the right one for more power?

my guess is, dont change it from stock, i didnt on my s-10 and the amps went down, HP went up. My logic tells me that the bigger the alt pully, the more the alt gets....if that helps any. they give you a bigger alt pully so your alt will still produce the same as with out the power pullies altogether.

The bigger (new) Alt. pulley is so you would not loose voltage after going to a smaller main pulley.

Ahhhh you dudes are upside down. SMALLER ALT pulley = MORE ALT OUTPUT/
more alt sucking power. The smaller pulley spins the alt faster.

And on my F Bod the alt was not producing enough with the smaller crank (under pulley) and sitting at the light the car was surging and lights where dimming and
A/C on ,made it worse. I gave up on the whole deal.
