    Shorty header install

Well I planned on doing them myself.
But if anyone lives in the New Orleans area and knows more then me it would be nice to have some technical advice.
So If you live in the area and have a free day this weekend day or night message me.
I have a lighted carport and all the tools.
By the way they are flowtec Shorty headers.
Should be an easy but time consuming install, but I've never done anything like that before.

you'll be fine, shorties are pretty much like the stock manifolds, they'll bolt right up!!!

Main thing is to re-use the stock gaskets. Also when you tighten the header bolts (stockers are fine) start from the middle and work your way out.

Well I was gona use some metallic felpro gaskets.
Alot of people tell me that would be my biggest mistake i just have to re tork the bolts after 20 or 30 miles.

I would use the stock ones. No one has issues with them. I'm FI and have no issues. And there's guys making more power than me that keep the stock gaskets. They work. No use spending money on something else.

Use the stock 3-layer metal gaskets. Trust us. Spray bolt penertant on the bottom collector bolts an hour before disassembly. Tighen manifold bolts as described. I have never had to go back and retighen the header bolts once tighening them to the specific torque specs using the metal stock gaskets.

those stock gaskets are good, when i took the manifolds off to put my headers on, the driver side manifold was missing a couple bolts and wasnt leaking...
