Headed home from my g/f's house when a Grand Prix GTP pulls up to the light and starts stalling out next to me. I just sit there waiting for the light to change so I can see what these GTPs are made of. He looks over at me and gives a big sh*t eating grin and when the light changes he takes off. I give it 3/4 throttle so as not to spin the tires much and then lay down the lead foot all the way. He had me by a car length but I'm quickly staring at him through my rear view mirror After I hit around 110 I let off and here he comes like a mad hornet. At the next light he rolls down his window and asks me how the hell I just smoked him with that heavy ass truck. I just grinned and said " two words for ya, STOCK 4.8". He gives me the "that's " look and burns rubber at the next light. I didn't even bother to go again, I figured he had received enough ego smashing for one day.

Thanks again Allen.

Yeah I fell asleep at the wheel one at the track (SLP DAY) with
a non reaction time of .9 and had to chase him down (GTP) and
caught him at 1/8 and just kept going, but those turbos are fast off.

I usta have a GTP, I could boil the hides off and get with a couple of rustangs on a good night but, in the long haul, I usually got to see their brakelights in the distance...
I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6!

they're actually supercharged. Series II 3800 motors with an Eaton Roots blower from the factory. They are pretty quick, but they only run mid 15's stock. I have seen some REALLY quick ones though. Same as these trucks, just got to know how to tune them.
