    6.0 cam in a 4.8?

    Will it work?
    Will i need the springs too?

    If you want a stock cam get the ls6 cam.

    So a cam out of a z06
    Would i need the springs of a z06 then?

    yes. basically, if your going to do a cam swap, might as well get one that will make decent power. A popular choice is the LS6. because it can be used for boost. There are a lot of threads on this site on cam choice. Its all in what you want to do in the future. If im going to spend 12 hours swapping cams... i want one i will like. yes youll need the springs. I would go with a more aggresive cam if you plan on staying n/a.

    I get what your saying, yes im planning on staying N/A. its going to be my D/D so i think an ls6 cam will do just fine.

    The smallest cam I'd bother with even in a DD would be the GMPP hotcam. It actually puts down impressive gains and will still drive almost exactly like a stocker. I'd definately freshen up the heads with new springs and if it were me I'd go no less than the 918 beehives.

    He'd also be just fine with LS6 Springs
