After having a lot of trouble with my Dakota digital VSS pulse generator, it ended up falling off when i was driving and i lost it. I am not going with another one because i do a bit of off roading and it tends to get hit a lot.
Has any one used the optical VSS that is in the back of the mid to late 80's gm trucks. If so what output on the green box that comes out of the cluster?
Sorry im not trying to steer you away from your topic i am just wondering what kind of problems you experienced with the dakota digital vss generator and how hard was it to set up. Again sorry i dont have an answer for your question.

it worked fine when it was on, but being a 4x4 it hangs pretty low and i could never get it to stay tight off road the sensor kept getting loose from the adapter to the transfer caseOriginally Posted by k10shortbox
