Been looking around this site for a while and finally decided to join!
ive got me a 99 silverado with 235,000 miles with a 4.8,CAI and a flowmaster muffler for now.
in a couple of months ill get some LT's,cam, and nelson tune! i live in cedar park texas and im only 17 so money is tight for me.

235k miles wow!!!! got some damn good miles out of her thats foresure!!!! being a 4.8 i would just save your money and do a 5.3 or 6.0 swap.. all your parts would swap over easily!!! just a thought

ya shes pretty beat up, nothing a little paint cant fix haha. people underestimate the 4.8 alot, so i wanna install as many bolt-ons possible and go from there...hopefuly it wont blow up on me!

good idea, i would get the bolts ons and worry about a cam and heads later, this way your bolt ons will swap over, good luck on whatever you decide to do!!

welcome and +1 on the 6.0 swap, go ahead and start savin up so when th 4.8 blows you can just go ahead and put in the 6.0!!

you can get them for about the same price, might as well go 6.0..i know im regretting doin the 5.3 instead of the 6.0,

sounds like you are doing what i did, i got my truck looking good first and then worried about how it ran

ill look into the 6.0 swap for sure! i want to lower it 2/4 with stock rims, i think it would look cool..
