Hurricane IKE "BUSH Hates White People"

Most of my stuff will probably be up for sale shortly since Hurrican Ike decided to take my roof out, and the government and my insurance company will not cover ****. I would have been better off without insurance, then at least FEMA would help out in a year or three. I hope when my power comes back on the ****ing house burns down, at least then the state mandated deductible for Hurricane's will be met. I cant tell you all how flustrated I am with my insurance company I am at this point. I guess President Bush hates white people as well because I am screwed. I have been reduced to moving my family in with my wifes parents b/c they have power. I sit here and watch Bald Eagle (Mayor White) and county Judge Eccles hold press confrences about how successfully they have handled the evacuation and response.. **** all they did was screw up the last evacuation so bad that no one left, so all the dead people are on there hands, and they pat themselves on the back for it, what a joke. Dont let the press on this thing fool you, you cant get gas anywhere without waiting over 3 hours, all while the president flies in on his 747 wasting tons of jet fuel and then tours the area in his private helicopter, exactly wtf is he going to do anyway?? He should take that fuel and give it to people that actually need it. Sorry for the long post, I am just fed up with FEMA and the local, state and federal government saying how well they handled this while in all reality they have dropped the ball again. I guess I should expect that my tax dollars would be wasted by the government flying around looking at **** instead of doing anything.

Ohh it is covered, but in texas they passed a law that doubles your deductible during a tropical storm.

I would double check your deductibles on all of those items, and what exactly will change the deductible. Renters insurance in my experiance is better than homeowners btw.

yes it can be, the max i can collect is 25K for all property. homeowners is a different ballgame entirely i know.

I can probably patch the roof good enough for now, but I will have to replace it if I ever want to sell the house. The only problem I have is with the total BS coming out over the media about how well prepared Houston was, and the "great plan" the government had in place... The "great plan" was to **** up the Rita evacuation so much that no one would ever want to leave in the face of another storm. I guess it is cheaper for them if you die in a storm than if they have to help you fix your property.

Ohh I got kicked off a local news station blog for saying this same stuff.. what a joke everyone is priasing the response when if fact it is just as bad if not worse than katrina. You work, pay taxes and do what is best just to be pissed on when you need something back from your insurance company or the government. No wonder insurance fraud is so rampant that is the only way you can get them to pay for anything. My family and I will recover over time, but it is hard to explain to a 3 year old why you cant go home. I am not asking for much from my insurance company, just fix my house so I can live in the damn thing I am still paying mortgage on. They told us today we would probably be better off taking out a loan to fix the house, trust me if I could have gauged out there eyballs with a dull nife over the phone they would have gotten the point on how I am feeling.

YOU helped pay for that plane and helicopter and the fuel. It's like when someone gets into a car accident and everyone wants to stop and see what happened, that's Bush...with a really great view. I helped FEMA spend $25k+ so the evacuees dogs and cats that are up here are comfortable in their brand new crates, stocked with dog food everyday...Oh, they get to keep the crates when they go back home too. Don't get me started

I know I did and that is what pisses me off. You would think with all the media coverage he could sit in the oval office, save money - then pull his head out of his ass and make some phone calls to get some help down here. I really just think this was an excuse for him to check on his ranch. I know that bush has to do this type of stuff so Cheney will not have to leave his oxygen mask for too long, but give me a break turn on any news station and you will see that the place is ****ed. Open the checkbook and help out the people that fund his war.
