    Trans Question

    Ok since I am going to be running a 4l60 behind my 5.3 I have a question. I have turned all of the trans codes off in the ecu. So with all the codes turned off I should not need any input from the trans. Guess I am just making sure this is correct.

    Sounds scary. Doesn't the PCM need VSS and ISS and OSS and all that other stuff? It would be nice to know if the lock up is working, what the slip speed is, what the PCS is, that the TFT is...

    The ecu is being set up as a stand alone. The trans is a 4l60 not a 4l60E. I will be running a not lockup converter. I just want to make sure the ecu will not require some kind of input from the trans with all of the codes turned off.

    What inputs/outputs are there besides VSS and TCC on a non-electronic 4L60? Nothing comes to mind. You'll still need the N safety switch I guess but that's not really part of the trans.
