    LS1 with 305 or 350 hp

Is there any difference between a LS1 engine from Corvette and a Camaro ??

The Camaro "only" got 305 hp, but is it throttled down with the controlbox?

I believe the z28 is rated at 305 and is not an ls1, the ss is rated at 320. These are underrated #s from gm. As far as the difference between the vette and the camaro I think are the heads, cam, and maybe the intake. There should be some other things but I really dont know what they are.

Both F-Body and Corvette's have LS1's. The difference is the pulley configuration and camshafts. Some have the same heads, same blocks, different exhaust manifolds and compression ratios. Some 2001-2002 F-bodies came with LS6 intakes and some had LS6 blocks like my 02 WS6 Trans Am. The compression ratios and cam sizes is where the HP differences come from.

Here's some great info from Smokemup. It needs to be updated though.

A 2000-2002 TB has a blue spring on it and it has the biggest throttle cam, GM Part# 17113647.
A Truck TB has a orange spring on it and a cam that is close to the 98-99 F-body ones but it's not an exact fit.
In short when looking for swapping throttle bodies from one car to another check the color of the spring.

The 2002 LS6 came you have listed to, whats the rpm range its good for? I see a lot of people recommend that cam for turbos, as well as the 220/.581 cam.

In 2001 and 2002 all ls1 f-bodys came with the ls6 intake and I'd give anything to have mine back.

The LS6 block is supposed to be good for an extra 1000 rpm over the LS1. I ran the .220/.581 cam and loved it! Ask RamAir2002...............
