    dbw throttle body

    i recently ported a dbw tb and well i never checked to see if the damn thing worked live and learn well, i got the side cover off and im trying to remove the electric motor but, its in there pretty good. anyone know of the correct way to remove it. i dont want to just trash it because of all the work i put into it. any insight is appreciated.

    You need to fab up a small puller to pull out the motor. Like the one that comes with the kit with the BBK throttle bodies.

    i found it on the bbk site and it really dont look like much. i think i could make it at our machine shop here on base.

    well thanks to dale my tb is now busted j/k we tried to seperate the motor from the housing and no luck. Prying is not recomended and WILL crack the housing. anyone got a dbw throttle body that works worth a damn

    Dude...that wasnt any fun watchin you break that thing up...but now we know...you have to have a tool for that SOB! Im always glad to help tear **** up....come by any time.And you got to meet my transmission guru....what did ya think of Mr McGee?

    I have one with no electronics, just the housing. Its almost new it had 6k miles on it. I used the electronics on my BBK throttle body.
