Me an a friend both have new 04 scsb 5.3s, an we are about to change are stock gear 3:42 to a 3:73. An I noticed a few of you guys have changed your gears to. So anyways here are the questions I was just wondering.

    1. How much will the 3:73 lower my 1/4 mile time by?
    2. How much will it change my gas millage?

    I would say by 1/10 maybe 2/10's
gas mileage isnt going to change that much. not really noticeable.
I went from 3.42's to 3.73's, drove around for about a week before I put in the stall.

now if I could keep my foot out of the gas, I would get better gas mileage.
