    Flasher Relay Problem

So I'm driving down the road and it sounds like a ticking time bomb!!! My flasher relay is shorting out and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I've tried replacing the relay and thats not it. Works fine when I use the signals and get my little green arrow on the dash but as soon as it clicks over the ticking doesn't stop....Help

What kind of vehicle, and what year? This problem sounds familiar to me.

That's a fairly common issue on late GM's. The combination switch in the column is shorted.

We've replaced quite a few here at my shop.

OOps...It's a 2000 Silverado 5.3. I was actually reading the chilton and they said combo switch so I guess I'm off to the dealer to pay for some stupid over priced labor. Thanks guys
