Well I don't really have any cooling issues except when I am towing. I noticed when I swapped my cam that the 4.8 radiator appears to be a single row radiator. I have heard the 6.0 radiator is a two row? And is it a direct swapout for my radiator assuming I get one that was from an automatic tranny vehicle? Thanks for the help.

It's so easy it's not funny. There are bolts on the outside of your radiator now ... thats where the bigger one mounts. It will drip RIGH Tin place.

On the lines of this,....Will a 8.1 or Duramax radiator fit in where a 6.0 rad is?

How about tranny coolers....Mine looks so small for having the towing package/snowplow prep.

The 8.1/Dmax are still 34" but should have an oil cooler provision also.

Dont the Duramax's go deeper? LIke directly behind the bumper? I have a plastic shroud here where I beleive the Dmax's just continue the radiator lower.

As for the tranny cooler....Mine is out front and only like 7" x 12", but has a real nice mount and bracket.

Engine oil cooler is tiny as well.

Not that I'm having problems, but bigger is always better.

I don't think they are deeper as you're limited to the depth of the bumper beam. If you're that concerned about cooling capacity, I'm sure someone local could make you a two core aluminum...with 1" rows and 34" core you'd never overheat.

But I drive in the hot ass Texas summers with that 34" rad, LS1 fans, and a 160* thermo...no cooling problems at all.

You don't need a monster oil cooler, do you road race or auto-x the car? No, so a slight cooling of the oil is fine. Have you or will you see oil temps over 250*?

Spend the money elsewhere please, your concern in cooling isn't needed with these trucks. I can keep my temps in the upper 170s to lower 180s easily with the setup I have.
