    Flywheel Question

IS anyone running a older manual behind a 5.3? I am starting to gather parts for a 5.3 swap and will be running a 465 transmission in my truck, do i just need to run a spacer on the flywheel or do i need to get a custom flywheel?

    which flywheel are you using?
i think part of the issues is the older style sm4654 trans sets back away from the engine farther.still digging for info.
    thanks

the tranny is a sm465 toploader transmission, has a ultra low granny gear and then a 3 speed w/rev.its a cast iron case
used in 1/2 thru 1 ton chevy trucks from somewhere in the late 60's early 70's thru late 80's.
ive got the flywheel spacer to use a th350 or th400 behind the 5.3 but now im going with this manual trans setup.
    thanks
