I couldn`t wait for the group purchase so I ordered a 91-93 tune yestarday.I must say that you guys were right about allen. When I called him he actually listened to what I had to say instead of trying to get you to place your order then rushing you off the phone.Just thought I would share my experience and to let eveyone know that all your info is very helpful.

For all you guys out there who are wrestling with your decision of whether you want to go with a Nelson tune, a handheld tuner, or even a competitor let me share a little information with you that might help sway your decision. I'm sure that have read many posts here giving much acclaim to Allen for his work. I don't doubt that you may know people who have had great experiences with their handhelds or "Joe Tuner's" custom tune and that's great. You should take into account the experiences of people you trust. I work with Allen and I see and talk to him on a daily basis. One thing I can honestly say about him from an observational standpoint is that both his attitude and actions are completely driven by customer service. It's refreshing to see a company/business that isn't driven by the "bottom line." He stands by the quality of his work. Should something go wrong or not work out, he will do what he can to rectify the issue. I realize that for some of you guys, the issue is price and getting the most for your hard-earned dollars. I think you can judge for yourself from the sheer volume of members here and their comments that Allen's work is top notch. The old addage is true, you do get what you pay for. You won't be sorry for making the choice to have Allen and Nelson Performance tune your sled.

And no, Allen didn't ask me to write this.

    Have a great day!

Well I finally put this thing in, holy sh*t this thing is so freaking awesome, before the tune I couldn`t power brake this thing unless I was on loose gravel, now I can smoke these 305`s till I decide to stop. And now from a dead stop there is no more dead spot from 0 to 3000 rpm`s this thing is like a rocket,my dad has been a chevrolet service manager for 18 years and he helped me put it in, he was doubting that this thing was going to make a big differance, when I stopped and smoked the tires he just shook his head knowing I couldn`t do it before. So to everybody out there with any doubt about whether or not to get a NELSON`S TUNE take it from me you won`t be disappointed, my 2500HD don`t feel so heavy anymore. To allen tomorrow after my friends see what a differance your tune made i`ll probably have a list for you.

    De2500Hd,

I have a 2003 1500HD that Allen tuned and I got similiar results. I can power brake and smoke the tires now but not before. G-tech comparison showed a .6 second increase in the quarter mile time. I went from a 16.30 to a 15.70.
Allen does a good job because he is passionate about what he does and that automatically makes you like him. Great performance and personality.

Hey, glad you're enjoying the pcm. Those HD trucks turn out great and on a 93 tune, expect more than 40hp.

I like to suggest a tune as a first mod, first of all, it's the best power maker of any basic bolt on (except n20) and updates are free, so as you add performance goodies, you can take advantage of those new mods.

Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for loss of tire, LOL.

Have fun with your tune, just look out for those cops, now
