5.3 Daily driver needs more power.

    Newbie here for MS.

I have a 2006 ECSB 2wd Silverado. It is my daily driver. Could y'all point me to some threads for budget mods/bang for the buck.

I have a drop in K&N filter. Is a truck CAI worth the $$$ ? Favorite brands?

I have a Flowmaster 40, but I really want to go with either the Magnaflow cat back or the Corsa Sport. Opinions?

I hope to be swapping my 3.23's for some 3.73's very soon.

To get a little more go power while staying with 87 - 89 octane what do y'all recommend?

Maybe rocker arms, or just go with a cam? A tune?

    Thanks all.

    Mods

    Corsa = awesome,
Shorty headers i'm sure some will disagree ( Ceramic Coated)
    3.73 good idea
true intake not just a drop in i run an AEM brute force
Nelson tune for whatever octane you want to run obviously 93 = best gains
    underdrive pulleys
low resistance plug wires if running headers get high heat resistant also
e-fans will help performance and mileage i think
shaner ported & polished throttle body great mod for stockish vehicles and highly modded as well
remove cats if possible in your area and have tuner delete rear o2
Just some stuff i thought would help out

    Good Luck

1.) If you have the cash, do Corsa.
    2.) No need for e-fans fellas--he has an 06.
3.) Underdrive pulleys--harmonic balancer AND alternator
4.) Pacesetter long tube headers with 3" ORY
    5.) I LOVE my Series 77 K&N CAI
    6.) Either a P&P stock TB or a 80-85mm BBK TB
7.) Cam kit--no need for rockers, IMO
    8.) Stall
    9.) 3.73's and a Detroit TrueTrac
    10.) A custom tune
