5.3L in a 69 GMC Questions

I am purchasing a 1969 GMC truck 2wd LB and am putting a 5.3L in it. i have a good engine with harness and computer. I already have researched quite a bit on the swap and know I will need engine mount adapters and need to run a high pressure fuel pump as well as some other things. I am wanting to run a 700R4 trans in it, will it bolt up to the 5.3 and will the flexplate and torque converter match up without shims? Also, will the engine be affected as far as driveability without an electronic trans? Any thing else someone may have run across in doing a similar swap, I would like to know. Thanks!!
