Well I am giving it some hard consideration and have a few questions about the 4.8 to 6.0 swap. Is it a direct swap, take one out bolt the other in? I am going to probably put a 4L80e behind it instead of trying to find a 4L65e. Will this complicate things or does it all just swap out? And with my transfer case, am I going to have to get the transfer case out of the donor vehicle (probably a 2500) too? Any fabricating involved? One last thing, how well will the 10-bolt rear end and the front axle hold up to a mildly built 6.0 with no racing in its future? (just doing it for the power). Thanks for any help.

I just had to quote that, it's the last thing said, so it sticks ,hahahah

    Ya, it's a direct swap.

The 65e will bolt directly to the 6.0L, the SS's have that same setup. Your current trans will also hold if you get it built up a little bit.

The 80E will also bolt up to your 4.8 or 6L.

It'll be the best upgrade you'll ever do to the truck, except that tune you got, hehehe.

    good luck,

    allen

So there is no extra mods or fabricating that I would have to do to get it all in there? What all is reuseable off of my 4.8 that I could use on the 6.0?
    And thanks for your help.
BTW, Allen, when I do it, could you cut me a deal on the awesome Nelson Tune for the 6.0 since I am a repeat offender (I mean customer)?
    Thanks!

    2005 ECSB 4.8L TVS1900 5 psi

    That makes 9.6L @ 14psi
