    2006 SSS Rear Drum Brakes?

    Can anyone explain why a 2006 SSS has drum brakes on the rear?????

    because they had a lot of problems with the rear disk setup......a whole lot of problems with the e-brake holding so in 05 they switched all of the truck over to a bigger front disk brakes and rear drums which is why they also started putting 17's on factory instead of 16's like in the previous years

    how much bigger are the 05+ front brakes?

    Is it possible to swap these to an 04-down truck?

    Probably around 13"

    Yeah you could then you have to figure out how to adjust the system accordingly.

    Better off upgrading the rears to thicker rotors and the twin piston calipers from the Suburbans, Tahoe, etc.

    Yeah, i think im just going to get the powerslot 14" upgrade front and rear, and try and ad the dual piston rear calipers from the suburban/tahoe.
