    LS6 cam in a 03 5.3L questions

Ok, well since i cant find anybody to buy this reground factory Ls6 cam i have im gonna put it in my Silverado, along with some pacesetter LT's that are on the way.

I know i need the LS6 springs, but im trying to figure out if i need longer than stock pushrods since its a reground, and im keeping my stock rockers.

The specs are .550/.550 218/218 on a 117 LSA, and i wanted to ask if this will work pretty well with my stock 5.3L tune, i do plan to get tuned by NP, but id like to get the headers, and cam and CAI on the truck before hand, and then im making the trip to get a street tune, and maybe some dyno runs from Allen.

I already have 05+ efans, and dynomax muffler on the truck, my plans call for this cam, the headers and ORY, ASP crank pulley and CAI and then getting it tuned, and im thinking abotu getting a ported TB from LS2portworks.com, im also thinking i may need alittle more fuel, so im looking for a set of 8.1 injectors.

    Thanks for the help.

the cam i referanced above i have here at my house now, just need the LS6 springs, and im good to go, along with some gaskets.

My pacesetter LT's will be here shortly and will go on first, then the cam. Im trying to get the cash to buy the underdrive pulley and swap it on while im in there.

Does anybody know how much id have to mill a set of 243 heads to get atleast the stock 5.3 CR, better yet bump it to around 10.5. I have a set of low mile used LS2 243 heads that i have been thinking about swapping on, but i know i have to have them milled or il loose CR over the 5.3L heads, and at the same CR im thinking they should be worth 15-20 horses, and with alittle more CR maybe alittle more power.

thats what the guy i got it from said, its a stock 405 horse LS6 cam, that is .551/.555 218/204 on a 117.5 LSA per GM specs. I was told this cam is .550/.550 218/218 on a 117 LSA. And that they use this cam in alot of engines they build and use reg 7.400 pushrods.

not saying its the rule, but most regrinds will not last. I tried about 10 of them in various grinds, and I had to pull ALL of them back out. They look bad too. I have a couple of pics in my phone.
If you want, send me your cell number and I'll send you some pics of what the cams look like.

well i guess ill keep my stock cam around just in case. I also have a stock 2005 LS2 cam i was thinking about swapping in, but i would have to get an LS2 front cover and extension harness for the cam sensor.
