man i was hoping you would hook a brother up too. Oh well

I thought about finding a 2005 5.3 on a used lot and taking the old laptop for a test drive and nabbing a copy of the stock cal file.

Ok, well somebody over on monodax.com forums, which is the site for tunercat obd2 tuner and the jet dst posted up a stock 2005 5.3L tune.

So i was like cool as hell.

Well i take the laptop and cables and hook up my truck, and figure ill make a copy of the stock cal file first, and at the end of it it is doing some memeory check, and says it cant be completed, and now my truck wont start.

I tried to hook up autotap and it sees the hardware, but not the vehicle.

I sure hope i didnt fry something, although im fairly certain i didnt, i think its something to do with the passlock, and the jey being on for so long and the engine not running.

Ok, turns out it was the passlock, i just let it sit and she fired right up, and i was able to read the data stream with auto tap.

But when i went to trey and reflash it with the 2005 cal file, it i got a box that popped up that said the file was from a different service number of PCM and asked if still wanted to proceed, i said yes, and then had it keep my same VIN, and it tried three times, but was unable to flash the 2005 cal file to my PCM, so i guess im back to square one.

    anybody got any suggestions??
