i found a number on the block which is 2567393
and one one the head which is 003908192839864
will either one of these numbers tell me anything...i googled them and got nothing.

another easy way to tell what engine you got is to look at the stock airbox. on the top theres a sticker and it will say either 4.3, 4.8, 5,3 or 6.0

ok...dont have the airbox...where is it stamped at...is it under the p/s pump?
k..ill pull it and look...the junkyard told me it is a 5.3, but id rather make sure myself
great...more work...i guess ill do both
so im guessing i want the flat top pistons for it to be a 5.3?
