MTI Stealth Cam in a 5.3L

Has anybody ever ran this cam in a stock 5.3L with only some bolt on mods?

    Specs are

    220/220 .581/.581 115 LSA Thats with stock 1.7 rockers.

It is suppose to be a stock idleing cam in a 5.7 LS1 but still make power like a bigger cam.

I want to install some Pacesetter LT's and ORY, efans, maybe pulleys, cold air intake, some sort of catback and was thinking this cam, and a tune of course.

Will this work well with the stock converter, and not try and pull thru the brakes at a stop light?

I think you'd be pretty happy with it. The duration should give you decent torque and the lift is good.

yeah im thinking the same thing. Any idea what the NP stage 2 cam has for LSA, the rest of the specs are the same as the MTI Stealth except for .007 less lift, which i dont see making any differance at all.

it is a nice cam, my friend had it in his 5.3 crewcab with a 2800fuddle and full bolt-ons and ran a 13.4 in perfect weather.., he had his idle at about 800-850 and it sounded like stock.... and the .7 lift difference wont make any difference..

yeah on another thread i seen the NP stage 2 cam is a 114 LSA, so i figure very similair results as the 100 HP thread, and those are about the same mods i have planned for mine, and 300 at the wheels and a mid to low 13 in the 1/4 would be just fine for a daily.

    Thumbs up

I sold my stealth cam to Ramair2002. It was in my 5.7 and he put it in his 5.3, ask him how he likes it.

That is the cam I use with my Turbo. I heard the cam will work N/A or boosted. I agree your bttm end will suffer without a power adder and will scream up top.
