    Subaru Impreza WRX

Saw a Blue 03-05 Subaru impreza wrx cruising around town when I was there last (about a week ago) i decided what the hell, all the local ricers say hes the fastest of the bunch So I figured I would try and play with him. We messed around town a little bit but couldn't get a good run in. I followed him outside of town and everytime I would ease up on him So I could ask if he wanted to go off the line he would speed off and throw on the flashers. I finally got next to him and asked him and he agreed. The subaru was a lighter blue, with the little hood scoop and wing on the rear, nice car. We went out of town on a road where theres no traffiic and lined them up. I had two people with me, one guy is 250+ and he has his girlfriend with him. We agreed on three honks. On the third honk were off! I launched in 4wd @ 2500 and got him off the line pretty good, he was at my back bumper. When I shifted out of 4wd into 2wd my truck spun a little a at the top of first and chirped second, so he gained a little ground back then but not much. By 75 or so I had pulled a half a car on him. Once my truck shifted into 3rd he slowly started pulling on me, by 100 when we shut down he was back at my back bumper. We did this twice with the same result. That car sounded pretty badass too. We ended up pulling over and bsing a little bit, he was a pretty cool guy, he was shocked that a big heavy truck like mine ran so good. He told me everybody he has raced he has taken off the line, he couldn't believe how hard my truck launched. I asked him what all he had done and he just said a few minor things, didnt really go into detail. 4wd launch's get a little squirrly with torque steer, anybody have a remidy to this problem? I know you cant lock the crappy 8.25 diff or it will blow up. I need to shift out of 4wd a little later as well so I dont spin. Anyway, I figured I would share a good kill with you guys.

Yeah made me feel pretty good, I need to get my meth kit on so I can have more timing added on the top end.

Dude, that was an STi you raced! And you pulled him from a dig?? Good God, your truck must $hit and get from the line... Go Google a Subaru WRX STi and see what you can oncover... Those are Subaru factory hot rods... Nice freakin kill(s)!!! Yeah, when thos STi's have exhaust on them, those little boxer 4 cylinders sound pretty tough... Subaru and Porsche are the only two car makers who mass produce flat motors anymore...

Yeah I pulled him from a dig pretty good on 5-5.5psi, mabye 6psi tops. It goes pretty good off the line. I have a vig 2600 stall, I usually launch at 2500rpms or so, I get the best results from there. I just cant wait until I get 8-9psi and a cam!

Yeah dude, you'll be able to tear some ass with a cam and a smaller pulley. Try getting a 2.8 pulley and seriously look at my cam specs in my sig (I have a .581/.581). I designed it specifically for a Radix. Any thoughts of a meth kit?????

I have a 2.8 and a 2.9 pulley sitting in my garage, as well as a snow meth stage two kit. Only thing that sucks is im out in west texas working so I can't install anything, all the parts are 300 miles away I don't know much at all about cam specs, but if you designed it for a Radix I would be down to run it. I'm also gonna de-crank my t-bars some when I get home to see if that helps with the rowdy torque steer at launch.
