    Question 4L60E or 4L65E

    ok here is the questions... I have a 2001 silverado rcsb with 5.3L and auto. Is it a 4L60 or 65??? I am looking for rebuild kits and want to make sure I buy the right one. MOnster transmissions says its a 65E. I thought I would ask yall the question.. I was looking at buying a tci master overhaul kit... for 512 buks looks like it has everything and also pick up their beast sun shell and a yank tt converter. My brother is ASE certified so we are going to do the rebuild at home. I can save alot of labor money that way and i can dyno test it at his school Lincoln Tech.. Any input is welcome thanks guys.

    what you have is a 60e, but they are all pretty much the same thing except the 65e has better planatary gears and is a better building block...but all the parts interchange

    Didn't the 65e only come in the Denalis & Escalades at some point in time?

    65e has been in the vettes, SS trucks, Denalis, TBSS, escalades...but i think they were in the vettes first
