Question How much can i gain

I Wanna Hang With F-bodies. I Raced A 2000 Z-28 And He Could Not Pull Me Much If I Was At 4500 Rpm Or Higher But His Car Pulled Me Bad At Lower Rpm. I Have 17" Rims Off Of Avalanche With 275/60/17 Falken Tires. 373 With G80, If I Go With The Ts224 Cam, Lt, Nelson Tune And Cai Along With No Cats And Duals With Super 40 Three Inch What Kinda Gains Am I Looking At Over Stock, I Just Installed Some Ngk Iridium Plugs And Taylor 10.4 Mm Wires Tonight And It Seem To Run A Lil Smoother... My truck is a 2001 rcsb 5.3L.

Have you checked out that "Silverado 100 Horsepower gain on a budget" write-up on the front page? Maybe that would give you an idea of what to expect. Actually Allen could probably tell you exactly how much you'd gain. Good luck man, I hope it turns out nice.

1982 Silverado - just an old truck motor I had sitting around the house.

Yea i read that and was wondering since the cam im looking at is a bit smaller in lift .561 not .588 but larger duration 224 instead of 220. That being the big difference just wondering if i could still expect the same gains. I just wanna beat stock f-body and those damn mustangs, o yea and those ricer thingys..... I got spanked by a turbo civic here in austin and i did not enjoy that one bit.... Rice leaves a funny taste in your mouth.. ewwww

It hooks up good. Being mostly stock at the moment. It has 373's with G80 posi. Got the cold air intake on the way should be here in a few days. Chopped off the factory muffler and put a 3" super 40 on it. The Falken tires hook up great Falken STZ-01's.... Next mod though is a better posi before i start putting up some HP because the G-80 feels like it wants a nap....... So im going to put in a Auburn HD and maybe some 4.10's....
